Stay calm and don’t let the meeting turn into a gripe session or argument.

BODY: Take turns cooking dinner

Let family members take turns planning and preparing dinner. The cook can decide what he or she wishes to make (providing it’s a healthy and balanced meal). Children may need some assistance from their elders, but allowing them to participate makes them feel grown-up and important. This gives everyone a chance to share the love and responsibility of nurturing one another.

SPIRIT: Celebrate family rituals

All cultures have ceremonies to mark important events and rites of passage in their lives. Christenings, Bah Mitzvahs, graduations, and weddings are some familiar ones. Choose occasions that are special to your family and mark them with personal ceremonies.
